Nuclear Medicine Associates, LLC (NMA) was founded in 1996 by a group of board-certified nuclear medicine physicians to provide interpretive and therapeutic nuclear medicine services to hospitals, clinics and other physicians. NMA provides service to the largest private hospital in Louisiana where we interpret a wide array of scans including; cardiac and peripheral CTA, CT, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and general nuclear medicine images including sentinel node and antibody scans. We also perform I-131 therapy for thyroid carcinoma or hyperthyroidism as well as radio-immunotherapy therapies e.g. Y-90 Zevalin therapy for lymphoma and Sm-153 for osseous metastatic disease. Our practice includes several outpatient facilities where we network through tele-imaging for primary or consultative interpretation of cardiac SPECT images and PET images. All NMA physicians are board certified in nuclear medicine and participate in continuous quality improvement through periodic chart review and continuing medical education that must total at least 50 hours/year. NMA's long term strategic plan is to provide the highest quality of service possible to patients and to referring physicians.
