Terrence Beven, MD, FACNP Dr. Beven is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans. He is certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and is also a diplomat of the American Boardof Pathology, with special competence in Dermatopathology. Dr. Beven has practiced medicine at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana since 1964. He is former Director of Nuclear Medicine at that facility. He is active in organized medicine, having served as President of the American College of Nuclear Physicians, currently serving as Secretary-Treasurer of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, and with nineteen years service in the American Medical Association House of Delegates from his state medical society and ACNP/SNM. He is a Life Member of AMA. Honors include the Society of Nuclear Medicine President’s Distinguished Service Award, American College of Nuclear Physicians Lifetime Service Award and the American College of Nuclear Physicians President’s Award. His career in Nuclear Medicine was cited in an article in the ACNP newsletter, Scanner. The practice was recognized by an article in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine Newsline section. Dr. Beven has made many scientific, quality assurance and socioeconomic presentations at medical meetings. He has been a leader in nuclear medicine quality assurance and practice accreditation activities in ACNP, SNM and presently as a board member of the Intersocietal Committee for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL), a conjoint activity of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, ACNP and the Technologist Section of SNM.
